Michael D. Jones, AIA

Principal

Michael D. Jones, AIA, has more than 30 years experience in the design of complex architectural and master planning projects for major public institutional and private clients in the US and overseas. Based upon a thoroughgoing project involvement starting with site selection and master planning and carrying through programming and the development of multiple alternative solutions to the Owner’s problem, his approach requires the collaborative involvement of the Owner and users in the decision making process. His project experience ranges from the 2,000 SF Boardroom for the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum to the 3-million SF Hae Song Plaza project in Inchon, Korea and includes numerous master planning and building commissions in the US, Europe and Asia. Recent project experience includes the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, Embassy of the Republic of Malawi, US Naval Academy Update and various studies (with EDAW/AECOM) and the DEA Master Plan.
